Overview
The ideal candidate will combine multinational group reporting experience, strong financial planning and business partnering expertise and proven track record of heading finance team and influencing decisions alongside VP and leadership team.
Role at a glance
- Location: Karachi, Pakistan
- Candidates based in Pakistan, or willing to relocate to Karachi
- Reporting to Vice President, with a reporting line to regional or global finance team
Education, Experience & Skills:
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA or FCA) from ICAP, with articleship completed from Big 4.
- Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- At least 3 years heading the finance function of a multinational pharmaceutical company.
- Experience reporting to a multinational group while managing local tax compliance.
- Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and business partnering with commercial leaders.
- The credibility to influence senior leaders and lead change across functions.
- Experience overseeing procurement or supply chain is an advantage.
Key responsibilities:
- Head finance function as a member of the leadership team, accountable for the financial results, reporting and internal controls of the business.
- Set financial strategy and long-term plan with General Manager, aligned with group targets.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting and hold business leaders accountable for delivering financial commitments.
- Guide pricing, investment and cost decisions with clear financial analysis and recommendations.
- Own governance and compliance with group policies, local accounting standards, tax and customs, acting as the main finance contact for the group, external auditors and tax authorities.
- Manage currency, inflation, working capital and cash risks to protect profitability and support growth.
- Oversee procurement and supply chain costs where these sit within finance.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing finance team, including succession planning, and contribute to regional initiatives.
